Still a newbie...learning basic deer activity...
When hunting edge cover (for me: cedar/thick forest meets open marshland) do deer prefer to hug the forest/thick stuff with the wind coming through the thick stuff and then travel and observe for danger downwind (e.g. out into the open marsh area)?? Or, do they prefer to walk with the thick stuff downwind of them with the wind blowing from the open area into their face/quartering?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Basic wind / deer travel question...
They walk down the deer trail... Wind don't seem to have much bearing except they walk down wind of doe bedding and bed on the edge looking at the opening when wind is from thick.
