Go get-em Octane!

Stalking cornfields on windy/rainy days is one of my favorites.

I have had the most success hunting just before a major rain when the rain started just before dusk.
I think it gets them moving a little earlier than usual.

I've shot 1 buck during a steady rain in November and movement is usually slow. Now if it's been raining all night and into the next morning as soon as that right stops I guarantee deer will be on their feet. I love hunting right after a long stretch of rain.

Mist, good.
Drizzle, good.
Very light intermittent rain, meh, ok.
Light rain, i'll grumble and sit if its November.
Anything more and I stay home. It's just miserable.

This would be a great time to kick up deer and possibly bump and dump. It seems in rainy or windy conditions they are disoriented and dont know what happened. You can also get close proximity to get a good look.
.

I might try a little of this this season as I have a few swamps I'd like to scout.

I just did this 3rd week of Aug again. The buck ran past me twice! Took off one way, i took a few steps and here he come again!
