The sag in the belly and antler mass are dead giveaways.

I love these kind of deer. Some crazy charateristics for antlers. My assumptions are like everyone else. 3.5 to 4.5. His body size is a little small still for his leg length. Their is a little belly sag but not really any back sag. You can also kind of see on the bottom picture where his neck joins in relation to his chest. 5.5 year olds and older will start line up with the bottom of their chest. I really want to say 3.5 but its a tough call. I certainly wouldn't let him pass based off of characteristics alone though. Good luck to ya

What makes you think he's so old? I find it interesting that everyone is saying 3.5 to 4.5, but you're saying double that.

3 to 5+, but hard to estimate age off an infrared pic when you cant see the face closer up. Also helpful to know location, at least the state.
He "looks mature" to me if I were to compare him to 4 and 5 year old deer off my areas in Iowa.

The deer is from Western Kentucky. I feel he is 3.5 but my buddy thinks he is over 4.5. We are probably just splitting hairs. I was thinking about passing on him if I see him just to see what he may be next year. Now I think I may just shoot him. He's goofy as .

That deer is THICK in body and he has above average mass in those bases. If you don't have any pics of him in years prior its obviously so hard to tell. Did you guys take any big mature deer off your property last year? If so he could be moving in to set up shop. If not that blows my whole theory.
Personally I think he's at least 4, but missing a lot of info to really pin an age.

His rack looks from an older buck. Nobody can accurately age a buck 100% of the time once they hit maturity. Kill him ,send his teeth in and let us know

Im with you 100%. Everyone's answers are equally a guess. Your answer just intrigued me because it was so different than the rest. There was nothing wrong with it.
