Side note. Saw a couple slobs hitting all the food plots they have planted by the access road. Pretty skittish of trucks so I couldn’t get a picture. They are hitting the few remaining green beans or the new brown ones.

Can you hunt them?

No. Only a very select few get to hunt this property. Every year they shoot 1-2 deer that would make your jaw drop.

Got this in that mail a few days ago. I climbed up in my stand and tested them out.

I've got about 7 acres worth of milkweed on my place. As far as I know, Beasts are the only people in the world that don't hate milkweed! :D

I'm taking the seeds and planting them on my place. Not sure if they'll like South Louisiana. Gonna try anyway!

You better love it. Because once it starts growing on a place, it's hard to get it to stop. That's the reason that all the farmers around here hate it.

That's even better news. Have a creek on the western side of my 5 acres and the North and South side is woods. The only side where someone can move on top of me is the east. The property boundary is only 50 yards from my house on that side. I tried buying that 2 acres but the old lady wants 30,000.00 more than its worth. Right now her property is woods. So I'll plant 30 yards wide along my property and let it get as nasty as it wants to get!

Ok, I'm new to the Beast. I don't understand this phrase. Can you help a brother out?

From where? Where are you that you don't have any milkweed to pull?

I'm just curious, it's everywhere around my place.

You read it correctly. New guy has to supply the beer

It’s a Facebook joke since all the posts on the beast members page pertained to milkweed for easily a solid month. So naturally we made a drinking game of it. Post something about milkweed. Everybody drinks. Pretty clever isn’t it?

I’m just messing with you about supplying the beer. Might go broke if you try to do that

I just picked a bunch today. All green pods. Do they need to be dried? I cut a slit long way in them thinking it may help to dry them.

Yep. Mine sat in the box for a few days and started to rot. I spread them out to dry. I had to throw 3 away. I didn't know to dry them but now I do.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the individual who was giving away pods and all you had to do was pay for shipping.

I never knew about using milkweed until I started reading this forum. Picked a bunch the other day. Never noticed it before but now I can't drive more than a couple miles without seeing it in the ditches. Planning on panting the seeds near the private land I hunt so I have an easy supply walking into the woods.
