huntin' food

Unread postby CrazyBaldArcher » Mon Aug 13, 2018 5:14 am

What's your favorite snack or meal food for when you are in stand/ground blind/saddle/tree limb/ambush station.....?

I used to be partial to peanut jellies but I have given up gluten/bread products since the first or year as part of a weight loss program.

left over fish sandwhich or cold pizza is as good as it gets for me.

Snacks I usually have some jerky handy or trail mix of some kind. The occasional honeybun also finds its way in my pack.

Skoal long cut wintergreen.. kidding. I usually will only pack food if I plan on staying late. Usually a bologna or peanut butter sandwich and a granola bar.

Same!

Nutra-grain bars are always a favorite, as well as what my wife calls my "mistress of the fall".....Little Debbie!

Always have protein bars in my bag and add sharp cheddar cheese and whole wheat crackers for all day hunts.

I always take Tootsie Rolls. And trail mix if I’ll be out all day.

My wife laughed when she found out I bring some.

I told her I didn't want to risk whipping bum with those wonderful leaves of three a.k.a poison ivy

Jerky and cooked oatmeal with apples in a squeeze bag. Or a fish sandwich, those are delicious.

Sandwich and a Coke, also like to pack slim jims and jerky snacks. If Its and all day sit on a real cold day I may pack a really good thermos and some soup and if I'm in a box blind all day I'll bring a burner and warm me up some warm food on a really cold late season day
