Years ago my brothers and I would sit around watching the Professional Bull Riders tour on TV. The commentators would refer to good bulls as "rank bulls".
When we discussed bucks we had seen spotting we began calling them rank bucks. One year we watched a tall and wide 8 point buck during the summer. He was a beauty. We ended up naming him Old Rank. Hence my screen name. Another hunter killed the original Old Rank coming out of a cattail marsh. Go figure. The biggest buck we see ever year is still designated as Old Rank Jr.

Thank you. Same as I always have of your posts.
We are all dealt different hands in this game of whitetail hunting. I am drawn to the hunters who I know are grinding.
