R.I.P. Stan...

Unread postby dan » Wed May 09, 2018 11:50 am

I got some shocking and devastating news today... A man, a real man, my friend, Stanley Schmidt passed away yesterday.
Known by every one here as "Stan" he was a great person who stood strong in his values and stood beside his wife Jan, not in front, and not behind. He was a great deer hunter who was humble and never talked much about his own accomplishments, but praised others often. I have not cried in many years, but this news brought a tear to my eye. The world can't afford to loose a great man like Stan.

Rest in piece brother, I will join you before to long...

Ironically his last post was the day before he passed and he was warning others to be careful of an electrical hazard that could kill you...

Shocking and sad news. I never met him, but you could tell he was a great man and a great deer hunter. A legend on this site. I learned so much from his posts.

Dan I know it’s your DVD but as much farm bedding and ag hunting as he talked about a tribute to him and his knowledge would be awesome in your upcoming DVD.

Rest In Peace Stan

R.I.P. Stanley.

What a shocker. I guess you never know when your time will come.

Stan was obviously an outstanding big buck hunter but I was always more impressed with the advice he gave....sometimes that advice wasn't what you wanted to hear, but a guy sure had to listen to him. He was a wealth of knowledge. He will be missed.
