I found myself staring at the Beast on my phone opening day last year when a shooter busted me at 15 yards

I leave the beast up most days while at work, and check-in more than a few times. Though...My phone stays in my pocket while hunting, and is only for emergency's! I wear a watch for checking time.

I will take a picture, once I'm set-up, for reference of each set-up.

I refuse to let anything short of illness or a death, interrupt my hunting. No gadgets or toys in the woods with me, ever. I do, however, find myself on 'The Beast' at home, while the honey-do list is growing.

I multi task. My eyes are usually focused on the beast even while hunting.

I can't say I've ever stayed home to browse this forum..or any other lol.

I take it with me on my phone lol.

I'm guilty of playing on my phone while I hunt...but, keeps me occupied and sitting longer and more still than if I didn't. I stay off it when I expect movement to happen...and I don't stay glued to it..

I don't think I've ever had a missed opportunity due to being on my phone.

There is a mid 140’s 9 point running around Ohio that can thank my cell phone for his life so since November 3rd 2017 at 5:35 PM my phone only comes out on stand to check the time or weather. Fool me one time shame on you fool me to Times shame on me

If anything this site has encouraged me to spend more time in the woods. So I've been doing more scouting and time in stand. But when in the woods I'm not on here. I always wait until I'm home or sometimes at work.

I agree. When I found the beast a year and a half ago I probably spent way to much time on here. Just ask my wife. Ever since I can remember I've loved roaming around in the woods, but since I've begun to find beds and started looking at tracks more and all the things I read about on here and heard Dan and other members talk about on podcasts I really want to get out there and keep learning. But with 3 younguns and my wife being a stay at home Mom and with the other responsibilities I have I don't get away very often. This site is a great place and I've learned a ton from you all here, but that knowledge alone is not enough. There's no substitute for time in the woods applying that knowledge. Finding the beds is the easy part. Ok, maybe not always easy, but I've done it. But figuring out when and how to hunt that bed or bedding area... that's another story!

Getting into the late 40s my eyes don't care for looking down at a small screen and then scanning long distances, back & forth. It honestly hurts. Phone stays in pocket most of the time.

When things are slow outside of prime times I usually get on the interwebs... The beast is on my hit list. Then usually the DrudgeReport, DailyWire, and NortheastShooters..
