Wanted to share this with you guys..

Unread postby ScottSpitzley » Wed Feb 14, 2018 4:58 am

Hey Beasts!

Thought I would share this hunt of my Dad in Southern Ohio with you guys. This was all DIY, hang and hunt with his lone wolf stand and sticks after scouting the area along with his camera man. This is private land, but they got access from knocking on doors. I had the honor of learning this kind of stuff from both my Dad and his friend Jeff Fidler since I was young. They are the one's that got me obsessed with hunting in general and they are still gong at it, just without the camera! This is an amazing hunt to watch, and later I will show you guys what he did with the mount. Enjoy!

8-)
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

That buck made him hold that bow a bit, cool to watch. Great buck. Loved the coyote shot as well

Met a guy a few years back here in Michigan that was affiliated with the Rush. If I remember correctly, his name was Mark.

Can't believe that buck stays around with all of the movement in the tree and the missed shot, and looks like he catches their wind in the beginning. There must have been a hot doe around or something. I have never encountered a big buck acting that dumb without a hot doe around.
Some do. Some don't. I just might...

It is a piece of private they had permission to scout the March prior to that year by knocking on doors. First time they had hunted it. This was a 4-5 day trip, southern Ohio is quite a drive for us.

Here is the mount he got with it. The coyote, the buck mounted to the tree he hit, if you look closely you can see the broadhead stuck in it lol.
