Thanks guys. Was hesitant to do that but Joe made it easy. It was fun and before I new it I had written a novel apparently. Didn’t realize I was such a blabber mouth.

The write up pretty much sums it up. Killing big bucks is going to cost you something. Time or Money.

Blab on buddy...looking forward to the next read.

Thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next one. You mentioned that you don't get vacation days in there - how are you able to devote that much time into scouting?

JSnake, I meant I don't get vacation days to take during the hunting season for extended hunting trips. I work at a school so our "vacation"days are considered Xmas break, summer and spring break. So I do get plenty of time to scout. I scout after work or on weekends during the late winter/spring/summer. During the hunting season I'm limited to hunting locally during the week or other states on the weekends. I try to make sure my scouting is sufficient even on my out of state trips.

Great article and looking forward to pt 2.

We all know deer died at your hand last year, so what’s the scoop? You’re a hardcore dude and know big bucks as well as anyone.

Ah gotcha, that makes sense. I work way too much to really scout like I should but get to travel to Dallas frequently. I'm thinking about getting serious and using that as an opportunity to scout public in Oklahoma in prep for this coming season.

I did shoot a good book here in Michigan and then two antelope out west. It was a good season overall but didn’t get out that much. November 14 was my last day in the woods. I plan on getting the hunt posted in the Killzone here eventually.

Man that picture with all the bucks is unreal awesome!! When you said you had killed 56 bucks that alone is impressive but then that pic shows that they were pretty much all wall hangers!! Legendary!!
