For some reason, I feel like I gained more last year when the guys were still with mw. I know they are trying to keep their spots under the radar, but I feel like some value was lost from one year to the next. Maybe its cause they had less air time so they tried to focus on the important details, and now with all the time in the world, they kinda miss emphasizing whats important. Just my thought. I will say aaron, zach and greg are some top notch guys and very good hunters. Don't want to take that away from them

This is a good point. It did seem like in 2016 our public land hunts had more of a storyline to follow and we could teach people more effectively through those. We were far to scattered this year making it harder to drill into specific details of a spot. We actually had less time to focus on hunting than before because of a number of things. Editing other hunts, starting a business, etc.

We'll try to remedy that in 2018.

I know one thing dan does that is really helpful in his videos is that he will show an aerial drawn up to show bedding, stand location, and access. Obviously you guys might have some problems posting aerials with the larger crowd and guys looking to poach spots. Heck I can find most of dans spots he hunts if I really wanted to do that. But something like a drawing showing the process of a hunt, instead of just showing the spot. So the wind bumping one is really simple, maybe show how the pushers access, and bump deer through the bedding area to whoever is posting, and how their access is planned out to not bump those deer out.

My biggest gripe with other shows is they simply focus on the spot and make the spot seem like the only important thing in a hunt. When reality is, entry and wind can make a good spot a total waste, or take a pretty bad spot and make it a killer.

Just food for thought. Don’t want to take anything away from your show since it is still very good, and really has a lot more useful info compared to other shows

No worries man. These are great points and I appreciate the feedback. We will do more mapping stuff this year. Some people find the spots but what can you do. Just gives us an opportunity to go find a new one somewhere :D

Lots of public in wisconsin ;)

I would show map on here. I trust my beast brothers
I just cant figure out on how you do it
I wouldnt ever show any other forum
Im gonna do some videos on my channel doing this just blackout the numbers and if someone knows that area they are looking at. Isnt really much you can do about it
Its the chance you take when you post example maps on sites or channels. Its just sad that your trying to help people be successful and they would take advantage of you and cut your throat and move in and cut you off like that. After you try to help them lol. Thats people though

I'll say this in defense of shows like MWW. It's a heck of alot easier to film out of a plastic shooting house than in a bare tree. Less work setting up. Easier to hide the shooter and the cameraman. Along with the larger better quality cameras they use. If I'd been doing shows as long as Bill W. I'd be looking for ways to involve less work on every hunt too. But it doesn't give the average nonlandowner hunter much useful advice on how to hunt. These shows are more about the horn porn than anything. Fun to watch once in awhile. But not of much use to me.

Love the Hunting Public stuff. When my buddies and I were younger we hunted anywhere we could. We didn’t have much but we had each other and had a blast. Hunting was the glue that kept us all together.

The team work they display is excellent. They are truly happy when one of their guys shoots a deer. A far cry from the me too world of other deer hunting shows.

Keep up the good work Aaron and team.

Have to let you guys know..I ran across You guys about 4years ago(Aaron that is). And you are the reason I ever started watching Midwest whitetail. You’re also the ones that turned me on to Dan Infalt and the hunting beast,,and love the hunting public. So thank you guys. I do agree that I felt like I was learning more in 2016. But still love the show and still learning from it. Love the excitement you have for each other’s success. Keep up the good work. Came close to meeting you guys in Louisville last year but didn’t work out. Maybe another day.

IMO weve been a little harsh on midwest whitetail...even me. This isnt the first post about it either though. I have supported MW alot in the past as well. Even made ringtones out of the intro. I really like the archive episodes too.

Bc of what Dan has accomplished the industry has taken some notice. There are many videos about "bedding" online nowadays. Obviously were fans of Hunting Public bc weve all drank the kool aid here together. I personally think both shows were in a weird phase this season. Things will even out. Iv even ranted about the show before but I agree with Joe tune out if its that bad to ya. Iv been there

Not to big on mww. Love the public though. Feel like the public based little more on the average guy just trying to learn. I like to learn stuff on deer behavior and how deer react to certain things. Im not a guy who likes to really watch a bunch of pope and youngs being killed every night in 8 different states by same two three guys
Then before or after the kill they show videos of them on 50 thousand dollar tractors and half a million dollar farm machines tilling and planting food plts. Then tell the story of how they got there and how much hard work they put in to get there. If i wanted to see and hear bullcrap stories on big bucks i would turn on the outdoors network. Im not comparing mww or the public to this but. The public seems like i said to try to teach the average guy somthing about the behavior of deer and how to use it to an advantage. And their stories are real
Not far fetched or fantasy pixe dust tactics. Its pretty much beast style so keep up the work boys great job

I enjoy midwest whitetails much less since Aaron and Zach left. They made MW interesting for me, and Im really enjoying their hunting public series. Its much more relatable to the style of hunting myself and my friends partake in.

My biggest beef with Winke is the terrible shots he puts on deer. I think he could benefit from a lower draw weight and more practice, but thats just my opinion.
