Dip/chew in the stand?
Hey guys just curious, for anyone that spits on the ground, how does it effect the deer? I’ve been spitting in a spitter. I do however pee out of the stand and have found it has no effect on the deer. Just as long as there is not much sound to it. Even climbed down and had to poop and pooped about 20 yards from my stand and the deer fed beside it .If I don’t have a tree to pee on, I’ll throw some grunts afterwords. But I feel like dip/chew may have something in it that may deter deer. I don’t know, what is yalls opinion on this?

I have never noticed if deer pick up on it or not. It's never affected my hunting, that's for sure

Re: Dip/chew in the stand?
I really dont think a deer can decipher human urine from animal or feces either
Chew? It might bother them if its strong scented a-lot of chew is strong. Peppermint spearmint cherry etc
I smoked for 25 years ( quit in 2015) and glad i did at 7.50 a pack.i have to say i do see more deer now than when i smoked at least since i quit smoking
Good question though

I don't think deer can tell what urine or poop belongs to what animal but as to the chew thing I gut it so no issues there.

I knew a guy up north who used to mix Copenhagen with his corn for the deer. He’d shoot a good buck every year. I think they got hooked on the stuff.

It’s 5 dollars a can here. Can’t imagine feeding it to the deer.

Re: Dip/chew in the stand?
Unfortunately I have knowledge on this. I chew in the stand almost always have. Yess it makes a difference.
I avoid it on entrance and exits.
Part of the reason I still kill bucks around it is because I rarely hunt the same stand.
I'm fully aware of the scent impact that results. It's part of the enjoyment for me. My time hunting is my (me time). To each their own kind of thing. Iv found i enjoy The Experience less without it.
My time spent with and without it is enough to recommend that If you can do without, for the time you're hunting do without! It's a completely foreign smell.

Just like any scent they won’t smell it if the wind is right. I dip all the time on stand and spit on the ground

Congrats man! Think afew weeks is the longest I’ve made it. Also think I gained 10 pounds plus during that stretch. Seems I develop a sweet tooth when I try quitting. Did u replace that habit with something else? It was brutally tough for me after a meal
