Have a SW shield 9mm that i have for every day carry that my cop buddies tell me to get rid of. They say 2 legged animals, only gonna make them mad

IDK man. IMHO 9mm is pretty much the best all around pistol cal for 2 legged animals these days. The FBI seems to agree - they just switched from the .40 Glock 22 to the 9mm Glock 19. The FBI - you may recall - had nothing but bad things to say about that caliber up until recently. But objective testing changed their minds... Modern ammo has come a long way since the 80's. Bigger is better is yesterday's way of thinking. So of course what do the Mass State Police do? They ditch the Sig 226 in .40 for the S&W M&P .45 ACP...

We do everything back-ass-wards here.....

I bought the Glock .40 after testing the 9mm, .45, and .357 The .40 was the most accurate in my hands and is a big round. It does a lot more damage to everything I shoot at than my nine, or other nines that come over to shoot at my place.

Whatever you shoot best is what you should employ. Got to hit what you aim at. I like them all. There just have been some real advancements in cartridge and bullet design that have the 9mm on par these days with it's big brothers... But the old saying is still true I suppose... a 9mm hollow point may expand, but a .45 will never shrink.

I started with a glock 22. Too much gun to carry while bowhunting for me. I ended up picking up a kahr cm9. I have been carrying that for thr last 5 yrs or so.
