Stands
Hey just got my sticks and stand from lone wolf cant wait to use
Question though im moving into beast mode so couple questions or opinions
Should i or do i have to use the lower strap on my lone wolf?
And stacking sticks vs quiver
Is it better to use stick quiver or just put sticks like they originally stacked on stand
The stick quiver has a little snap sound taking oh and off. And and u have to remove them to use stand
The second strap question is most important to me saftey wise
I will be using a linesman strap to climb til i practice without just have to go in litte early
Any help on questions is very appreciated
Thnks

Re: Stands
Most do not use the bottom strap, just be sure to cam lock the stand and you will be good. If you are un sure of what this is, do a search on youtube and there should be some good videos to help. You can save your extra strap for a replacement down the road.
As for sticks. I would stack on stand. I have not used quiver, but most on here do not give it good reviews. Mainly because you have to remove it to hang rhe stand.
Hope this helps! Good luck.

Look into stick talons if you like the quiver idea.

Re: Stands
For carrying your sticks, the talons are a better option, however the quiver isn't bad either. What I did was bought a sheet of sticky back felt and cut it into small sections. I placed this felt into each stick "socket" and the "socket" where the quiver attaches to the stand. No noise at all now. You do have to take the quiver off but there is almost always something at the bottom of my tree anyways from a stick I didn't need, bungees from my extra clothes, a back pack, gloves, etc so having the quiver sit on the ground is a non-issue.

Re: Stands
Single strap, cam lock, and talons is the way to go. I doubted the single strap and cam lock until I did it once and I was sold. Rock solid

Re: Stands
I don't understand the benefit of using just one strap.
For the minimal addition in weight and time to put it on, I'll take the piece of mind of running both straps on the stand.
Am I missing something?

That’s fine but don’t put the 2nd strap on till AFTER you cam lock or you could severely damage your stand.
The thing is if your top strap fails the bottom strap will do nothing to save you since the stand will tip forward and just dump you out. The bottom strap is more for preventing kick out when side pressure is put on the stand when you climb on. This is rare and really only an issue with the smaller platforms like the Assault.

Have you cam locked your LW to a tree yet? If you haven’t, look up how to do it, then do it. You’ll understand why the bottom strap isn’t needed if it’s cam locked correctly

Re: Stands
I run both straps on my stand. I'm a big guy and like the safety of two straps. I have Talons but have found this method works great too for transporting my sticks. They stack together nicely and I just use heavy duty tie downs.

Re: Stands
I have been using my Lone Wolf stand and sticks for a year now. I stack the sticks when carrying in but am going to get some stick talons this offseason. As far as the straps for attaching to the tree I use both. For the extra minute that it takes me to attach it to the tree I feel that it is well worth putting it on for added safety that it at least makes me feel as though I have.

Re: Stands
Finally got around to taking a pic of my quiver. Again, I believe that the talons are a superior option however the quiver is a huge improvement over using a bungee IMO.

Re: Stands
Thnks guys i just ordered talons. Are by far the best option. No need to remove them just take sticks out and have at it
Anyone know where i can get rope straps instead of regular straps for sticks i see alot of guys going to this ?
Looks alot faster hanging sticks too
