Lonewolf climbing sticks vs. Muddy aerolite

Unread postby CHMJ0914 » Mon Nov 13, 2017 12:53 am

I currently use muddy aerolite sticks and I've noticed when I climb trees with hard bark they make a aching noise. When I climb trees with soft bark they are quite as can be. My question is does anyone have a problem with the lone wolf sticks making noise against trees with hard bark?

Use your reason, but trust in god.

The sticks themselves do not make noise. But if you don’t cinch the strap tight enough the stick can slide down the tree a bit and that makes nose. What I do is get that strap tight and then pull the stick down to preload the strap. That seems to keep the stick from making any noise. Sometime it still happens on really shaggy bark. But I think the same would be true off any stick.
