Unreal! !!!
Went still hunting/ scouting this morning.
Sat down in a thicket to wait for it to get good and daylight. A doe wandered in and I put an arrow in her at 8:08.
Checked for blood and it was a geyser.
Took up blood trail immediately.
Found her at 8:29 and the coyotes had already ate a whole shoulder, one of the hams, and part of a tenderloin! !!

Wow that's unfortunate man. I read something similar earlier in the year. Except the doe went down in site and the hunter was able to put an arrow in the yote. That has to be a punch to the gut!

I'm surprised you couldn't hear them. Time to shoot some coyotes.

That is just bad luck, or good luck if you are a yote.

Re: Unreal! !!!
That is a bit of a yote problem. I heard Dan's story the other day about them getting onto the gut pile when they werent even 100yds away. Last season I arrowed a buck early Oct and they were already by my stand at closing time! Maybe its all bc of being in a core area for the coyotes?

Re: Unreal! !!!
This year has been especially bad it seems. My brother shot a nice buck last Monday. High entry with no pass through made the blood trail a bit tricky. Found the deer about 4 hours after the shot and coyotes had gotten into both hindquarters.
My dad shot a doe Saturday. Fell within sight. Had a pair of coyotes come after the deer within 20 minutes. . . they were within bow range so it didn't turn out so well for one of them. They must have nose for blood like no other.

Re: Unreal! !!!
I'd set up over that deer and go on a coyote killing mission.
