Predictably unpredictable
Red arrow points to where the shooter was at I bumped this afternoon.
Red arrow is also wind direction.
I love them road watchers.

Re: Predictably unpredictable
It happens. I've been re-scouting some public land along the roadways and finding good stuff. hoping to get out tomorrow and hit another piece during the day. Wish I could be sitting in a stand, but I got no early season permits . Fingers crossed I can pick up a reissue for this weekend.

Re: Predictably unpredictable
I know a guy that regularly kills some very good bucks....I picked his brain a bit....funnels created by highways are a hot spot for him...I've seen the same. Even if there is wide open field for miles...there's almost always a tiny strip of woods/brush.

Re: Predictably unpredictable
I have an area that borders a major highway. Would love to see any tactics or strategies used to hunt these areas. My biggest issues is that while there should be a buck inhabiting this area, I haven't seen the accompanying sign...

Yes, those are houses. That's one reason I was scouting this spot. I feel I can push the envelope a little more in this situation.
