Wind to back vrs thermal tunnel movement.

Unread postby Tennhunter3 » Wed Oct 04, 2017 6:08 am

Most of the bucks I have seen move wind to back but when I hunt the thermal tunnel I'm expecting them to move differently.

Let's say I'm setup on a west wind blowing to the east on the lee side the thermal tunnel trail would run North to South that day. So which is more important to focus on to kill mature bucks in Pm wind to back or thermal tunnel??

When the buck leaves his bed are the percentages higher he follows the thermal tunnel North or South or does he walk directly into the wind uphill torward acorns?

From you experienced beast who watch hundreds of bucks leave bedding are odds higher one way or the other.

Thermal tunnel is for bedding and for rut movement mainly... I would expect bucks to move from point "a" to point "b" outside the rut.

Bucks leaving bedding in the PM, outside of rut activities then dropping thermals are a big one to prepare for.
