Stealth strips
I just bought some stealth strips for my lone wolf sticks. I got them today and question I have if anyone on here has these or installed them if I can put the material between the plastic washers or if the plastic washers need to be against the aluminum. Thanks

Re: Stealth strips
I have done it both ways and either way works fine. Not trimming for the washers is much easier.
Also don’t forget to wax your washers on both sides with bow wax since you will have everything disassembled.

Re: Stealth strips
Mine are currently done without the trimming. Much easier for sure. I took all the hardware off and then just applied the strips without making any cuts at all. Went back after that with a razor blade and just cut out the screw holes and it is just fine.

Re: Stealth strips
I don't notch them out, I just put the washers right on top.

Re: Stealth strips
Just got mine in the mail today. I'd like to see Lou's opinion on this post. Diy_sportsman did a video on this very thing and he stated that the washers needed to be in contact with the aluminum. However it'd be much easier to not cut out for the washers.

Re: Stealth strips
I have been running my washers right over the strips for years.

Re: Stealth strips
I cut out around the washers and now wish I hadn't. It took me a lot longer then expected lol
