Re: Millennium M7-Anyone Using?
I tried my first test run on it today. I learned a few things on my test run.
-A ropeman ascender is going to work ten times better, it's in the mail
-Pine tree's are extremely noisy, and don't think you could get in one close to a bed
-I think I will twist wire the seat post to the bottom instead of use the strap, and carry the strap in my dump pouch, just because there would be less fumbling up high for me, maybe not be for everyone else.
-I don't think I will ever use a traditional harness again after using the Rock Climbing Harness
-Stick talons are worth the money, hands down. I'm not selling Bryan's stuff for him, but they just flat out work
-M7 is SMALL, I knew that going in and the seat is comfortable but you cant sit straight without sitting on the back bar
-Have a system. This sounds stupid but I numbered my sticks and put an arrow on the steps pointing which way to push em down, absolutely NO thinking involved and no chance for a mixup in the dark

Re: Millennium M7-Anyone Using?
Very informational thread thanks. I don't know why Milleniums caught my attention a while back. Funny thing a 68 year old guy from Michigan's western UP called me on Thursday, and was talking how much he likes this stand.
I am definitely going to check one out.

This happens to be my NEXT modification to this stand. How you do like the M7 so far?

How are you keeping the footrest from folding forward with it mounted on the outside like that?

Loving it. Used it last season with only swapping out the original carrying straps. It was fine for all my sits but I did find myself wanting to relax a little more when nothing was going on. So with adding the footrests should solve that problem with what little testing I've done with them on.

So the original bolt that comes with these isn't long enough to fit through the stand/footrests so I went and bought two longer bolts and locking nuts. I'm actually using the original bolts to keep the footrest from folding forward. I bolted it from the inside and the locking nut is wide enough to keep the footrest from folding forward.

Re: Millennium M7-Anyone Using?
Ok LAST MOD before I hunt with this thing for real Saturday morning. I've been practicing and playing with different ideas and the bracket is heavier but it's easier and more quiet in my opinion. I've really used stealth strips on all metal to metal contact and this is what I'm going with for right now! The strap works just fine but with the bracket it's less weight and the stand does secure better to the tree I've noticed!

Is this true? If so I've been doing it all wrong

The bat wing doesn't budge a bit on any of my lone wolf's. I have an original assault that came with a regular tree V and it will pivot but none of my batwings do.

Re: Millennium M7-Anyone Using?
To me the sticks V should pivot but not the stand...it should be rock steady even if one tooth has hold of the tree.

So are you using the batwing or the receiver now?
