Re: Broadheads
I'm a Single bevel fan! I use Grizzly 195GR and Abowyer 200GR.
I had the Helix and they shot amazing but were too hard for me to keep sharp!
I don't often use field points unless I shoot 3D. So since I practice with broadheads I need to be able to sharpen them.

Re: Broadheads
I'll be going with 100gr Slick Trick Mag or QAD Exodus fixed blades. Tried rage in the past and just don't like the penetration especially with some of the sits i do on the ground. All broadheads will work fine when placed well with ethical shots but people just need to find what works for them

Re: Broadheads
I've used slick trick mags the last 3 years. Shot 2 deer with them but not completely impressed with blood trail. Although one only went 20 yds and the other 100 yds what blood was on the ground wasn't what i was expecting.
Haven't shot a mechanical in 15 years after using the spitfire and not being happy with it. Went to the bow shop to look at the g5 deadmeat head. The owner canceled his order for them after seeing them and not liking them. He steered me towards the grim reaper razorcuts. Shot the practice head tonight out to 30 yds and its flying right with my field points. Hopefully i'll get a chance to use them in the early season and see how they do on a deer.

Re: Broadheads
Grim Resper Razor Tips 100 grain. Shot my bear last year with it and my buddy and bro have shot multiple bucks and does the last 2 seasons with them. Good blood trails. It's all personal preference for everybody. I've had good luck with Muzzy, Rocket, Grim Reaper, and a lot of cheaper broad heads. Shoot what you like.

Re: Broadheads
I used the Strickland Helix last year and liked them. Pass-throughs on all but one deer and blood trails were decent for a 2-blade.
I'll be using the Helix again this year as well as a fixed/mechanical hybrid for a couple of super-thick swampy areas where I'll be looking to put a little more blood on the ground if I let an arrow go.
