Made a friend today

Unread postby Bigburner » Sat Jun 10, 2017 6:55 am

I was inspecting a logging job this morning and went over to the other harvest block the logger hadn't started and found a doe bedding area and this little girl was just hanging out. She was sniffing away at my hand and I picked a few ticks off her ears. She wasn't but a week old or less. Her eyes were still blue. Mom was over in the brush about 20 yards away and getting antsy blowing at me. When I left the fawn I got far enough away to where I could see and the fawn bleated a few more times and mom came in and get her on her feet and licked her head and they walked off a ways. All is good. I had a fawn bounce into the tire of the tractor yesterday I saw her in time thank god. Little me personal today. I'm up to 8 or 9 close encounters with fawns in the past two weeks. Definitely really good recruitment in my neck of the woods with the little bit of poking around I've been doing.

Uber cool.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
