question on where bucks bed do the the cold temps?
I know bucks like to bed with the prevailed winds coming over the top of the ridge and thermals coming up in the morning. Do cold mornings like around zero trump that and they bed anyway on the south or west ridges even if wind isnt right?

You will still find the majority of big bucks bedding on leeward side... I remember an old timer telling me that bucks always bed on south facing ridges when its a cold north wind.... Yup. Cause thats the leeward side. Leeward gets them out of the wind too remember. If they were bedding on a windward side they would be getting blasted by the wind directly.
