I've been known to walk in circles , glad he sacrificed his tag. Seen some of Don's vid's, he's a funny guy. Love it when he goes off on almost anything at anytime.Damn deer farms....

I agree.
I have seen them blind in one eye but not both. One of my friends shot one with an antler tine that was broken off in the left eye socket so he was blind on that side. He had him mounted with the tine in the eye socket.

Re: Unusual hunting video
So glad he shot it. That deer would have been torn apart alive by coyotes.
I have seen the same exact situation once before on video. Buck was walking in circles exactly the same.

Re: Unusual hunting video
I would have done the same exact thing even if the buck was smaller. Not sure how anyone could let a deer like that walk because they don't want to burn their buck tag. It's our job as sportsman to take out an animal that's in obvious distress like that.

Re: Unusual hunting video
Have never seen a buck blind in both eyes like that but have put down several deer that were so badly hurt that I could basically walk right up to them. Must have taken a brow tine to each eye - OUCH.
Its a relief to do it and at the same time a really crappy feeling. It is certainly not the fair chase kill we all want.
If someone puts antler size above removing an animal like that they have some seriously out-of-wack priorities. Glad he found that buck when he did, wouldn't have taken coyotes long to figure out that deer was hurt.

Re: Unusual hunting video
That was definitely a unique situation. I've never watched his videos before, I like his attitude towards hunting. Thanks for sharing, Hawthorne.
