I enjoy ALL phases of the season as it's all part of the journey. Saying that doesn't mean I won't be very happy when the heat and skeeters are finally gone.

Great kills so far this year and very impressive to say the least. Best part is many are new members killing first or even best bucks. That's really cool.

Lots of nice bucks have hit the dirt. I'm kind of weird, but I like the feeling of others being successful and I haven't scored yet. I guess being in the game is more fun than game over? :confusion-shrug: Congrats to all that have knocked one down.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Heck I have only had five days so far and have not seen a shooter - not one. And there is another warm front coming in this weekend with highs near 90........ still having fun swinging in my saddle though

I've come to truly love the hot early season! Nobody around here hunts early! Our state just recently started season in September so it has taken me a few years to get out of that rut hunt mind set that I was so used to. With the help of the BEAST I was able to put down my best buck with a bow on October 1st this year after my second sit in that area. This forum is truly inspiring!
