Big river hunting

Unread postby Wylee » Fri Oct 07, 2016 11:32 am

Just wondering about fumes and my scent. Any of you all have experience with using a boat to access hunting grounds? Always conscious of wind, but any tips would help. Thanks boys.

No experience accessing from a boat, but I always approach my areas from downwind, even if it is the "long way around the barn". If I'm really sweaty I'll wipe down my upper body sweaty/stinky areas with scent free wipes, change shirts and put my old one in a large ziplok bag.

Right on. I figured to stuff grip in dry lock bag while using boat motor, then put camo on after parked far from known bed. Thanks and good luck to ya

Keep your scent and the boats scent blowing out into the river. A boat holds a tremendous amount of scent.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
