Stand Security
Put your climber so high that no one can reach it. Not even you!
I am guessing this guy can dunk with two hands cause it's about 10 feet to the base.
Anyone see this much? How do hunters get to them?

Re: Stand Security
Seems like you could use a stick to lift up the front edge and get the sections to slide down...not sure how a guy would get it up there though???

Kind of what I thought. Seems like that would make a lot of racket though.
Getting it up there is another story.
He's got to carry some pet of ladder or sticks.

Re: Stand Security
This actually reminds me a of a prank I pulled on my buddy. He was late to hunt and we were using the same access route so as I am walking in I see his climber at the bottom of the pine on the trail. WELL........I quickly pushed his up 6ft and through my climber on and put his climber 20ft up this tree then got down and continued on to my spot. He makes it out right at daybreak. My phone buzzes I pick up and he is cussing his but off because someone has stolen his climber. I asked are you sure your at the tree you left it he says yeah I said look up......more bad words.....click.....hangs up on me. I didn't hear back from him and he's not answering. So I climb down thinking dang he did not see the humor in that at all. I drag my climber back to and he's not there I go up the tree get the climber down start walking back to the truck thinking I have seriously pissed him off. as I get to the truck he calls. Of course I like sorry dude I didn't think it would you off that bad.....he like no man that was funny as now come help me drag this buck out. he had just slipped into his spot and sat on a low branch like we did when we were kids and smoked a 6pt. I say all right you want anything from the truck like the cart. He says why would you walk back to the truck. I said I came back because you wouldn't answer and got you climber out of the tree and headed back to the truck to catch you........rolling belly laughter is all I heard over the phone a solid minute.

Re: Stand Security
I actually saw something similar to this yesterday. I was scouting some new public and came across a climber about 20 ft up in the air with an attached climbing stick up to the stand. Like someone else said he probably brings in climbing sticks to reach it as they would be lighter. If that's not what he does I'm not sure how he gets up there.

Re: Stand Security
Pretty dangerous to step onto a climber from a climbing stick.
Sometimes you just look at them wrong and one section will fall down the tree.

This guy obviously uses Ear Jammer in conjunction with nose jammer and eye jammer. Deer don't stand a chance.

Re: Stand Security
From the looks of it I think I could scale up to it but then getting into it and trusting it on how I would try and get in... That's on a whole different level that I wouldn't dare.

Re: Stand Security
I dont get leaving a climber in the woods unless u plan on going back the next day to hunt the tree... but if ur worried about someone taking it just bring a cable and lock it to the tree at the base. Ive done this many times before but climbers r meant to be mobile and why ud just leave it out kinda beats me, and i see it every year when i spring scout that someone leaves there stand all the way till turkey season it seems. They're lucky im a christian bc any other thug that comes by them would never have to buy a stand till he dies. Idk i just dont get it
