Cool! Thanks for sharing.
If you want to kill a deer you have to be in the woods.

:o
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Have to love those giant massive 8 points. I have seen a replaca of the 8 point in person that was killed in Michigan. That buck os just flat out amazing. The frame and mass are unreal.

Without looking it up again I want to say that deer field dressed 260 lbs. That was huge news at the time. The guy that killed him had already shot several other bucks that year. People got sick of it and turned him in when he showed up with that buck.

Decided to dig it up! Here's the article from the tribune.

http://m.startribune.com/hunter-accused ... /88397992/

I was slightly off it was a buck and a doe, and 265 lbs dressed.

I read one other article that said it was brought to the taxidermist as a bow kill, and the neighbor who chased this buck for years was pictured with it before they knew it was taken illegally.

I remember when the world record 8 point was shot in Michigan. Its one of the ones listed. That guy got an endorsement from a mineral company. He said that's why that buck got so big was because of the mineral. Looks like its fell a few spots. Same county I hunt.
