10 point Water hole buck

Unread postby Black Squirrel » Sat Nov 13, 2010 5:37 am

As some of you have seen I posted some pics of 2 "water holes" I put in this summer. I shot this guy over one of those holes. I'll post the story in the contest section

You know, I never thought about that, I don't know. I never said how much water I put in, I'm pretty sure it was less than 2 gallons!

Way to get it done Squirrel !!!
I actually contacted my local gamewarden when I made my little waterholes, because I was wondering about the whole baiting thing.... I mean, it says in the rulebook, water is not baiting, but I still wanted to ask him...... He said, yes you can put out water, and hunt over it, but if you are in a low wetland area, you need to get a permit to make any sort of waterhole.
Congrats again..... I have had some nice 2 1/2 year olds show up at my water, but not what I'm looking for...
