Found this. $5o off and free S&H.

http://www.fieldandstreamshop.com/p/xop ... hngnxxxtsb

or

http://www.fieldsupply.com/xop-air-raid ... stand.html

I know the maximus is larger platform and thus 3lbs heavier. Is the larger platform worth the extra weight or have you guys found that the standard platform is just fine?

Been looking for some good deals. It is going to hurt but I am scraping up $$$ here and there and hopefully just going to get a good XOP/LW stand and sticks and be done with it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

If I was hunting mobile (like I am) I would rather use a $70 bow than a $70 stand... But, if money is that tight just bnuy a cheap stand and do what you can to make it quiet and mobile... I got by before L/W was invented by using electrical tape and hose over chains, etc...

Thanks Dan and I think you are right to get the foundation correct first. I think I am going to go ahead get the XOP stuff.

Found sticks and stand.

http://www.fieldsupply.com/xop-mossy-oa ... ticks.html $169 for sticks

http://www.fieldsupply.com/xop-air-raid ... stand.html $199 for stand

Will probably suck it up and purchase these even though it will hurt a bit. :)

Has anyone seen or heard of any issues with the XOP gear?

Thanks guys

you may want to check ebay as well - seen some alphas priced to sell and they weren't used much. i would have gotten it but have 2 already not to mention the other 2 lw climbers .. they are very quiet and not cheaply made. keep checking for deals and dont waste your money on anything cheaper - just my opinion. good luck

Like others said, save up for the LW. I bought one this year (and sticks) and don't regret it one bit. Well worth it!
