I only hunt with recurves and homemade flintlocks. Can't hardly hear anything anymore except the continuous ringing in my ears. Just about every deer I see is right on top of me when I do.

I'm old and sickly..to put it mild... far as my standards go I figure I already give them enough odds so there's really only three qualifications a deer has to meet to reach my standards.

1. Am I in the mood to pack it out.
2. Will it fry.
3. Is it legal.

I try to stick to a 3yr old buck. Granted around here those only average about 80-90" . I prefer not to shoot a two year old but it depends on how the season is going once it gets late. There also are not many deer period so i don shoot does. My goal is always 120-130 but they are few and far between so I have to keep it doable
