"Hot spot!"

Unread postby admiral04 » Fri Oct 31, 2014 7:38 am

How long would you say an area would stay "hot"? Last night I hunted a spot im new to and about 60yds in front of me it gets thick with oak brush and hemlock. At about 5:30 i heard a bunch of noise and could see tails going everywhere (except straight toward me) I couldnt make heads out but several deer kept runing back and forth. My assumption is that there was some doe bedded there and a buck was cruising and found them. After it all settled down I could hear 1 deer where the commotion originally started and it sounded like maybe he was making a scrape, like someone raking leaves in one spot. Unfortunately, I cant hunt ton ight but wondered if it would be worth hunting fri evening or sat morning. This isnt a spot id typically hunt as its a long ways in an has no real geographical advantage.

I would assume it to be hot until you have proof otherwise.
