Somebody should tell the national weather service to stop yelling.

They always do that, and I'm very sensitive.

The windproof layer is not overrated.

Froze my tail off this morning, should have dressed more appropriately for the cold, snow and wind. Stuck it out until 9AM when I started hugging the tree for hopes it would snap in the wind. Three bucks, one shooter, a 2 year old and a 1.5 old. Shooter was 90yrds and wouldn't commit to my taunting. Back in the saddle around 3:00 this afternoon.

Holy cow..,.Saw nothing by 9:30 so took a slow walk. Figured "stalking" wouldn't be too hard so brought the bow along.

Found the biggest tracks and best bedding area - If I were the big buck on the block it'd be mine, all mine. Stay outta my bedroom!...

One large tree fell while I was scouting and another couple limbs came down. Came back and sat my stand for an hour, back in the truck at 12:30. Heading back out soon.

Determined to locate a buck I walked a large area tonight slipping into bedding areas with the wind and snow covering my sound. Jumped one ok buck and two does. Checked a bed I killed a nice buck out of two years ago and found it heavily used with fresh sign. I also followed some rubs from where I park and found a good bed but almos impossible location to hunt. He can see anyone pull in to parking area. Found one of his sheds, huge tracks too that looked like he moved when I pulled in.

9.5 inch tine and over 2.5 inch diameter bases.
