Almost!

Unread postby Mibowhunter91 » Tue Oct 07, 2014 4:29 am

Well last night I headed out to a spot I scouted this spring next to the road where everyone over looks. I found a good bed with rubs all around. It looked like he had 2 exit routes so I walked both of them and had a tree all picked out... Last night the wind was just right for me to slip in and hang a set in the tree I had picked this spring I was almost around the bed when the wind hit me in the face. I stopped threw some milkweed and decided on another tree. I got all set up and I thought I could hear something moving around by the bed then about 20 min before dark I heard a stick break and about 5 min later here come a deer. All I could see was one horn then he stepped out farther and it was just a 110" 8. He came right by just as I planned just to small I had to smile as it all came together just not the right deer..

Thanks guys for all the tips thought I'd share my experience last night

Thanks a lot guys!! There are 2 more spots I found this spring I'm pretty confident about just waiting for the right wind! I know that are some real good bucks on the property and hopefully my new way of thinking will help connecting on an early season buck instead of hoping one comes by after a hot doe!!
