What % of bow deer hunters that kill a buck in your area during one season.

Re: Whats the %?
I would say close to 50% of the guys I know kill a buck.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Re: Whats the %?
For most of the bowhunters I know, it's around probably around 30% or so and the majority of those are shooting 1.5 or 2.5 year olds. I try to hunt in different areas than they do. Haha

Re: Whats the %?
I don't talk bow hunting much with others around the area I live In. There's probably 7 or 8 guys and girls I do talk with bow hunting. 5 of these bow hunters took bucks, 4 of these bucks were 1st rackers which Is what most shoot around here every year. The other buck was my brothers big guy we were hunting.

Re: Whats the %?
The local Corps of Engineers have a special hunt every year.
Park/campground area....loads of deer.
Eleven zones each about thirty acres.
Two hunters per zone, these are "buddys" and apply together.
So 22 bowhunters.
They average 5-7 deer killed a season for that hunt.
One or two bucks.
Most of these deer are killed by one or two of the hunters.

Re: Whats the %?
I don't know about my local area because they don't post bowhunters per county here in VA (That I know of). Since I only bowhunt I will talk bowhunting statistics. About 7% of bowhunters statewide kill a deer each year. The kill ratio of bucks to does is about 1:1 which means only about 3% or so of bowhunters kill a buck each year, or about 1 in 30 bowhunters.
