I bought a new action camera for my bow. The roscoby is nice but I wanted to step up to somethin with a little more quality. I bought the drift hd170 which I just got so I havent had time to fool with yet. One thing I really like is you can hit play from a little remote that has a wristband. But anyways I ve seen a lot of guys asking how to mount there video camera. Im sure there are cheaper ways but this is the way im going to go with. Its a stabilzer with picatinny rails so there are multiple different mounts you can come up with. They do make a camera mount so I think this would be about the best way to get a good stable shot with your camera.

Re: mounting camera to your bow
I designed a bow camera mount a while back... If you watched the Marsh bucks DVD, the 10 pointer I shoot is while useing that arm... I stopped selling them a while back when I could not get all the componants, but it looks like I have a new source. I put one together for one of the BEAST members who was asking if he could still buy one... Carol took some pic's of it for you to look at. You can aim the camera then lock the position really easy

You should put some in the store soon in case there are any members that want one for late season.
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Re: mounting camera to your bow
Working on it Slayer... Trying to build an inventory during hunting season is tough.
The positives of useing a bow mounted camera:
* A lot easier to control what the camera is aiming at and the bow at the same time for self filmers.
* Great second angle and back up camera for when you do have a camera man.
* Hunters view looking down the arrow
The downfalls:
* Recoil usually moves the camera enogh to miss the impact on film. With practice you can get better at it though..
* Shakey and quick camera jerks don't give the greatest footage. I usually set the bottom bow cam on my knee if I am standing, or boot if sitting for steadier footage.
