Going 4 Broke Outdoors Podcast: Episode 8 - BigBurner

Unread postby seazofcheeze » Fri Apr 30, 2021 1:25 pm

In today’s episode we discuss wind and thermals, beginning at the macro level and as the podcast progresses, we dive into some deeper detail on the mechanics that drive wind and thermals in the local environment. Erich does a great job providing examples from his own hunting experience, and suggests factors for hunters to consider as they seek to better understand the dynamics of wind and thermals. Big thanks to Erich and all the other beasts who have graciously shared their time to be guests on the podcast.

Just finished it. Really good and a lot to digest, but the wind/thermal/scent behavior when it comes to what seem like just simple weather was interesting. Stable vs unstable air and the effect on currents were probably things he’s posted before, but hearing it helped. Will definitely have to do some more thinking about setups as a result.
