Update:
Last Saturday I got around to taking down 3 hang on stands. I didn't want any more UV exposure to straps/seats/etc. While making the rounds, I pulled some trail cams, swapped cards on others. When I first posted this thread, I included three pics of me in a stand, with a buck I passed on going by. I hunted that stand hard, probably too hard, but kept thinking it was only a matter of time before a buck I cared to tag sauntered past. On November 20th, I decided I'd had enough of this property and went elsewhere. Well, when I looked at the SD card from the camera looking at the stand, see what I found:
Around noon on November 20, after shooting the buck at the other place, I swung by home to grab the deer cart. As I drove up the road, I saw this guy cross in front of us. I had resigned myself that he wasn't going to show during the day, silly me. I have him on other cameras after January 10, which was the close of deer season for us, so he survived. Hope he is doing fine and can't wait to watch him grow this year's rack.
