Public Land Buck Down

Hey everyone! I hope you are having the same success and luck I have been having on IL public land.

I got this big boy last night coming out of his bedding area at 4:07pm with a cold front approaching. You could feel it getting colder by the hour.

It was very windy, so I stalked my way to set-up on the backside of a hillside where bucks like to bed. I used the hunting beast tactics I have learned from Dan's videos and this site to move in and set up my Muddy sticks and Chippewa hang-on and I was in business.

The shortest one broke off in the buck. The middle arrow is shorter because it has a field tip that I use to practice from the stand. Meaning, I'll shoot it at a leaf on the ground from the stand on my way out of a morning hunt.

Nice job and nice buck.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
