Re: Mounts/forms with a hard turn
The one in the background was altered just a little.
I really like wall peds!
The foreground is same mount as above from head on.

Lol some great looking deer for sure.
I just got off the phone with the taxi, I think I was about as nervous to choose a form as I was when I shot the buck
Went with the MCk 6900 because it resembles EXACTLY how the deer looked from memory.
The taxi said that the 6900 has a bit more definition/detail in the brisket area and the Coombs has more detail up around the shoulder/neck(iirc).He said he ‘cuts in’ the detail into any form and I told him I am happy to pitch in some money on top for a little extra time. So now it is in his hands
Thank you all again.

Re: Mounts/forms with a hard turn
Here is 2 hard turns, one a little more than the other. The one on the left is a Joe Coombs 9500 and the one on the right is a McKenzie but can’t remember which one.

Re: Mounts/forms with a hard turn
I have one wall pedestal done. I really like it but have seen the level of detail some taxidermists will put into the shoulder/neck to exaggerate the look and that can really make it pop even better.

Re: Mounts/forms with a hard turn
PK I totally forget to post pic of a summer coat Whitetail. This is a deer I took in MT 17 years ago. I mounted it in a standard shoulder form and altered it to be a true pedestal.
