Anyone looking for a Garmin Maps64? Thought I would use it, but never really did. Have the original box it came in. 100 bucks and I will ship for minimal charge.

Re: Garmin 64
This is a great GPS for $100 + shipping!
I bought one this past year for $180 and thought I got a steal. It doesn't have color maps but it a good reliable unit that will take an OnXMap card.

I'm thinking the same thing.I don't need anything to fancy. Just something to mark kill trees and beds and such. Right now I listen to the voices in my head but finding a specific tree in the dark can be tricky even if I am somewhat familar with the area.
For those who are familar with these units, here is an example.
Last week I took a quick walk midday in a new area. I jumped a doe an fawn and found their beds. I found a popup blind, and I found a deer trail leading from the creekbottom up into a thick hillside with rubs and a couple scrapes along it. It would be nice to mark the exact location all of these things and pick out a spot to hunt and a route to go into it, so that if I decide to go in there for a hunt I don't end up trashing the whole place while wandering around trying to find my spot.
Does this unit have enough features without having to many bells and whistles, is what I'm getting at I guess. Not sure if my questions are coming out right. I've heard Dewey talk about marking a track and waypoints while scouting and loading it onto google earth and that sounds neat. Could I do that with this unit?

Re: Garmin 64
I have the 64s. I use it for hunting and ice fishing. The s simply means storage, I think the s has double the storage. So double waypoints and tracks.
With garmin basecamp you can keep every point and just upload the important ones to the gps. But honestly you will have a fun time trying to run out of storage.
My gps for $200 was one of my best purchases. For $100, this is a steal. I can get to a tree in the pitch black with it, and get within 15-20’ of a brush pile under the ice with no bearings.
If I just didn’t buy a tv, I would jump on this. Money just is too tight right now

Re: Garmin 64
I googled this and it shows that it has color maps online. Does this unit actually have color? I'd like some pics if you could PM them to me.

The 64 is the best Unit Garmin ever made. Someone should definitely jump on this. Very fair price too!
