Im not as high and open as it appears... Video has a way of making things look different. I was in thick nasty brush all the way up to my stand position. I was able to set the stand up from in the thick cover and could see the buck was in the bed from that position. Also, and this is important... I come up the back of the tree with the tree between me and the buck for cover, I move slow and watch around the tree. Once I could see the buck, I moved very slow and always watched him. I set the stand up around the tree facing the buck with cover between my movements and the buck. The hardest slowest part is getting into the stand without getting caught. USING WIND, AND OTHER NOISE WHEN YOU MOVE HELPS, but "slow" is the key.
