My first match set of the year. I’ve found a few singles too. 12” G2,9” G3. Image

That set actually looks like it’s from this year. Probably dropped in early January.

Put the tape to this matched set, figuring in an estimated inside spread of 16" it grosses right at 156. 6" smaller than the fresh 6x6 set i found a quarter mile from there on new years day. His 2018 rack was about the same, but with an added 3-4" kicker off each g2, so the two bucks would be about the same gross for their 2018 racks. I think the 162" 6x6 is a couple few years younger though, so assuming they both survive til this coming season, it will be interesting to see how they stack up with their 2019 racks.

That shed looks like an old deer on the decline.

Found 3.125 more on Friday.......

Image

It's crazy how close the broken off piece fits to the shed on the right, but pretty sure it's a year older and just a hair bigger.

Was looking hard for one more to get me to 20 for the year, but it just wasn't meant to be. Maybe this week.

Found these on a a quick walk today. I found a big buck bedding area where they must have been yarded up late winter. All within 100 square yards on one another

Very nice big burner!

Keep that spot in your back pocket.

Tonight I was behind the house "improving" what I though should be a bed. Won't know the answer till next winter. Two deer ran past not 3 minutes after I walked away, lol. And in those three minutes I picked up a small fresh 4 pt shed. Good livin' right there.
You don't have to be the best, just do your best.
