Just a funny shed story that you can appreciate

Unread postby csgrizz » Sat Jan 24, 2015 3:41 am

Had a guy in my office one day last year, saw a shed laying on the book shelf and asked about it. The young man was coming in from time to time for work and asked a lot of questions about deer hunting and sheds etc. In late February he tells me his grandpa has a farm and he thought he might try this shed hunting thing because it sounds cool and he figures there are a ton of deer there since his gpa is the only one that hunts.

A week later he came in for an appointment and I asked if he tried it.

His response was classic "Yeah, I went once, but I only found 11, is it always this hard?"

I was sitting on one for the year when that happened, so I am sure the look on my face was priceless. He even found two matched sets. I asked him what strategy he used and he said, I just walked down deer trails.

thought you guys would get a kick out of that.

Par for the course isn't it? Seems like the harder one tries the harder it is to find them. Kind of like a rookie not wandering far from the parking lot and killing a slob.

You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Good one. I think I would slide that young man a little more work.
