Ive herd of people putting corn down below fallen tree's. When the deer stick's his head down to eat the corn he hits his horns on the branches and tree trunk and if there ready they just pop off. Not much more chance of him getting stuck there then just walking around.

I have also herd of people using hay bales. Mostly the high moisture round bales, they put ratchet straps around the hay to help keep it tight.

Was thinking the same thing. Almost every shed ive ever found has chewing damage to it

I honestly don't care if there chewed on..i only find one a year if that so, WHEN or IF I find one and its chewed o well :lol:

I heard ratchet strapping a bucket to a tree with corn just at the very bottom when they try to go down they pop off. I dont know if it works I just heard it does

A friend of my brother use to throw corn under his picnic table and did a nice job.

In theory it seems like a good idea but also seems unethical to me. Some of the other tactics mentioned on here seem like more safe options if you would want to try this.

Last year, I found a shed by a big round bale my father in law had sittng aling the woods.
