Cub/Boy Scouts

Unread postby muddy » Fri Aug 30, 2019 1:44 pm

So we took my 8 year old to a cub scout meeting and we are pretty sure he is 150% smitten with joining. Since I'm a stay at home dad my wife volun-told me that it would be a solid idea if I became a den leader.

I'm pretty sure this is happening, are there any of you out there that have been through scouts or been a pack leader?

My boy wants to know if we can take his next deer in and show them how to gut it and eat the heart.

That’s a solid idea. Sorry I’m no help - good luck!

While I have never been an official leader, I've been involved with my son's Scout troops since he was a tiger cub....and now he's this close to getting his Eagle rank.

Countless campouts and meetings have kept us very busy over the years, but honestly I wouldn't have changed a thing....it's a great learning experience for both parent and kid.

Not sure about the deer thing though!
