Believe he must have had a compass at least. With out one a person has a tendency to walk in a circle if they do one know where they are (familuar with the area).

if people are going to discover you at the end of your trail.. a truck trail... they will also discover you at any given point on said trail if you are walking back. I mean even if a plane seen his truck they would’ve had a co or somebody driving back into the location. Wearing orange and walking the road I imagine they’d have seen em.

Poor fella, glad he made it. I couldn’t survived using that method.

Stay with the truck? Perhaps he was confused with the stay with the boat statement. Always stay with the boat. This I’ve heard a million times

I need this guy for when I hunt ducks on public land. "Ok, I know opening day is in 3 days but just hold tight, I promise the coffee and doughnuts will be back soon enough".

Glad he is ok, but dang dude.

He would be a good one to take on a snipe hunt.
Look sharp, act sharp, and be sharp, but don't be an idiot and cut yourself.
