One of my favorite new shows.....Mountain Men

Unread postby Dewey » Fri Jun 08, 2012 8:41 pm

http://www.history.com/shows/mountain-men

Mountain Men on History Channel. Thursday nights at 9:00 P.M.

Anybody else check this show out?

Those guys live some really tough lives and I admire their toughness to live in those conditions and living off the land. Dealing with grizzly bears, wolves and other wild critters on a daily basis must be pretty scary sometimes. Takes a special kind of person to live in remote places like that. The trapper named Marty in Alaska is my favorite one. Quite the adventurous life that guy lives!

I enjoy watching Marty, and I wish all of the mountain men were in Alaska. I definitely don't care for Eustace.

I agree. Eustace is still living off the land but not what I would consider a true "mountain" man.

Tonights episode was pretty good. Marty sure has problems with that snowmobile! He definately lives a tough life up there in Alaska!

The part with Tom and the wolves in Montana was pretty interesting. They say wolves rarely kill people but it sure sounds like it's been happening there recently. Pretty scary how they are getting so fearless around people.

Came across it Thursday night, will be checking it out from now on, really liked it too! I would love to live like that, but not to sure I could. Marty in AK has an amazing outlook when things go wrong..... You have to be able to roll with the punches when things go catastrophically wrong, and you have be able to come up with a back up plan quickly.

Awesome episode tonight. They seem to be getting better every week. 8-)

I really enjoyed Marty's caribou hunt with his family. Thought it was pretty cool that they showed the kills on The History Channel of all places. Showing his daughter how to skin the caribou was really cool too.

Kinda sucks next week is already the season finale.

I really enjoy the show. Running a trap line in Alaska would be AWESOME! The hillbilly from North Carolina is a bit of an oddball, Him and his buddy seem to be filming a soap opera from a terrible script...chasing the poachers was awful...but hilarious at how they went about it.
