Probably eliminate the need for a climbing device. Just fly up and set your stand/saddle.

Do you think I could stealth strip it without effecting the aerodynamics of the suit? Wouldn't want to have any of those pesky metal on metal pings

I’ll take some pics later this evening. They used to be used a lot in the 50-80s by duck hunters and trappers. You have to initially bust a trail and you get wet. After that, you can glide right across decent sized open pockets in the cats and such.
They’re about 10-12’ long, 6-8” wide, and have a huge curve in the front tip. Made out of ash
