A house finch made a nest in the wreath we left on the front door. The babies hatched this week.
Here is a pic from my dads cell phone through the window and right into the nest
We put a small step ladder in front of the front door to block the dogs and us from using this door, and to look down into the nest.

That's really cool Ellie!

Good pics Ellie. Update us as the birds grow.
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Not sure if you guys have bird mites up there but watch out for them when those chicks leave the nest!!

Very cool.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Re: Baby birds on my front door
Something happened today...
I came home from school to check on the nest and the only thing in the nest was a dead bird with its eyes pecked out probably by a blue jay so I told my mom and I went outside to look for anything else. I found another dead bird my mom threw those two dead birds away and then I found a bird under the porch that was alive! so my mom got some gloves and picked it up and put it back in the nest. it hung out in the nest for a little but then it flew out after it was done calling and found its dad. so they went to hang out around our feeder and I think the mom and dad bird have nest so they will probably live there. I didn't see the mom today or the fourth bird.
I hope they come back to visit soon.
